Now that you have trusted Christ to be your Lord and Savior, you have become a child of God and your capacity to relate to God has been brought to life. 

The body is the physical house for the soul and the spirit. The soul drives the natural life: the mind, the emotions, and the will. Through the soul we are able to think, to feel, and to choose. The spirit powers the spiritual life, which is the way we communicate and fellowship with God. 

However, man’s sin disables his capacity to relate to God. Without Christ, man has no relationship with God and remains separated from him. Through Christ, however, your relationship with God was restored. You are no longer separated from him. You are born again as a child of God—part of God’s forever family.
